1. Test the water with a pool test kit or strips. If pH reads below 7.2, it is time to add soda ash.
2. Work out the amount for your pool or spa volume from your test kit, your pool professional or the pail label. Start low; you can add more after you retest.
3. With the pump running, add it as the pail label directs.
4. Never mix soda ash with other pool chemicals in the same bucket.
5. Let the water circulate, then retest before adding more.
