How to Spread Blue Ice Melt

General practice for granular ice melt; follow any directions printed on the pail.

1. Shovel the loose snow first so the granules land on the ice, not on top of the snow.
2. Scoop or spread a thin, even layer. Watch the blue: where you can see it, you have covered.
3. Give it time to work, then push the slush off before it can refreeze.
4. Sweep leftover granules off pavers and decking once the surface is clear, and put the lid back on the pail.
